Probably like many people in many areas of the USA, I get sick and tired of being sick and tired about the Disney-esque way that my local world is presented by our local corporate media wizards, or the hordes of bad PR agents working to sell the fantasy viewpoint that EVERYTHING IS JUST FINE AND DANDY in our Grand City of Dayton, Ohio.

Photos from the Streets of Dayton, Ohio August. 31st, 2006

Someone got shot in the 'hood. ;-(

The corner of Broadway and Riverview hosts a sidewalk BBQ.

Because if you cook it, they will come.

The Dayton Art Institute is still the gem of the Gem City.

As a group of afternoon buddies hanging out proves.

The corner of Euclid and West Third Street.

Sorry and shirtless off of Patterson just outside downtown D8N.

Everywhere you go in D8N these days, there are orange barrels. U.S.

Riverview cleaners on Gettysburg Ave. hasn't changed since 1955.

I think that there are some pictures there, which are not the most representative for Ohio. Maybe a part of them represents the real life but do not forget the beautiful places of the state.

how could they not be representative of what is in Ohio, when they were all taken in an Ohio city.

I think there is much beauty in Dayton, even in the muck and the shuck of the streets and their pulsing beats.
